What is Category C1 Training?
The LGV Category C1 training course is designed for drivers who want to operate medium-sized goods vehicles weighing between 3,500 kg and 7,500 kg. This licence is ideal for those looking to drive ambulances, horseboxes, small lorries, or delivery vehicles. It’s a popular choice for paramedics, tradespeople, and those in the removals or courier industries. The course provides both theoretical and practical training to prepare you for DVSA testing and safe, confident driving.
What's Included?
- Medical assessment support and help with D2/D4 licence application forms.
- Theory test preparation, including multiple-choice and hazard perception.
- Driver CPC training (Modules 2 & 4) if driving professionally.
- Practical driving instruction in C1 vehicles with experienced instructors.
- Reversing and manoeuvring exercises, including the DVSA 3a off-road test.
- On-road driving practice to prepare for the DVSA 3b practical test.
