What is D (Bus/Coach) Training?
The Category D training course qualifies you to drive any passenger-carrying vehicle with more than 8 passenger seats—this includes minibuses, single-decker buses, double-deckers, and coaches. It’s the go-to licence for those pursuing a career in public or private passenger transport. The course combines theory and practical training to prepare you for DVSA testing and safe, professional driving in a variety of passenger service roles.
What's Included?
- Medical and provisional licence application support (D2/D4 forms).
- Theory test preparation, including multiple-choice and hazard perception.
- Driver CPC training (Modules 2 & 4) for those driving professionally.
- Practical driver training in full-size PCV vehicles with expert instructors.
- Manoeuvring, reversing, and road driving practice, including DVSA 3a & 3b test prep.

Entry Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Hold a full UK Category B (car) licence.
- Pass a driver medical examination.
- Obtain a provisional Category D licence.
- Complete theory tests (unless already passed).
- Driver CPC is required for commercial driving roles.
