What is a Team Leader?
A Team Leader is a first-line manager responsible for supporting, motivating, and guiding a team to meet organisational objectives. This role focuses on effective leadership, performance management, communication, and operational planning. Team Leaders play a key role in driving productivity, managing resources, and acting as the link between senior management and frontline staff while promoting a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
Entry requirements
Employed in a relevant role with line management or supervisory responsibilities. Typically responsible for leading people, managing workloads, or supporting operational delivery. GCSEs in English and Maths at grade 4/C or above, or a willingness to achieve these during the apprenticeship.
