L2 Urban Driver

What is an Urban Driver?

Urban Drivers transport goods in busy city environments, operating vehicles over 3,500kg and completing multiple daily deliveries. The role focuses on route planning, load safety, and excellent customer service while navigating urban traffic using in-cab technology.

Entry requirements

Employed in a relevant driving or logistics role with a valid UK driving licence (Category B minimum). GCSEs in English and Maths at grade 4/C or above, or willingness to achieve these during the apprenticeship.

Available upskilling areas

Apprentices with TTS can access free additional training and upskilling opportunities to enhance their professional development such as:

 

  • Transport Manager CPC

  • ADR (Carriage of Dangerous Goods)

  • Forklift Licence

  • Upgrading licence from Cat C1 to Cat C
