What is an Customer Service Specialist?
Customer Service Specialists deliver high-quality service by handling complex customer interactions across multiple channels such as face-to-face, phone, email, and digital platforms. The role focuses on building strong customer relationships, resolving issues effectively, supporting business objectives, and acting as a role model for customer service excellence. Specialists often take ownership of customer journeys, support continuous improvement, and may coach or mentor others within the team.
Entry requirements
Employed in a customer-facing role such as retail, contact centre, hospitality, or office-based customer service. No prior qualifications are required. GCSEs in English and Maths at grade 4/C or above, or a willingness to achieve these during the apprenticeship.
