What is B+E Trailer Towing Training?​​​

The B plus E licence allows you to tow trailers with a car or light vehicle where the combined weight of the vehicle and trailer exceeds standard Category B limits. This entitlement is commonly required for horseboxes, caravans, boat trailers, plant trailers and commercial use such as landscaping, recovery and construction work.

This course provides essential training in safe towing practices, trailer stability, reversing and manoeuvring techniques, coupling and uncoupling procedures and confident road driving with a trailer. It is designed to prepare you for safe and responsible towing in both personal and professional settings.

• Professional one to one driver training with an experienced towing instructor

• Use of a suitable B plus E training combination for all practical sessions and tests

• Full support with arranging your DVSA test appointments if required

• Guidance through the theory process and preparation support where applicable

• Advice on safe trailer loading, weight distribution and legal requirements

• Ongoing assistance and support throughout your training

• Optional post test driving session to build confidence or focus on specific manoeuvres
