LGV Driver Assessments
What is a LGV Driver Assessment?
A Pre-Employment LGV Driver Assessment is a practical competency assessment designed to evaluate the skills, knowledge and professionalism of individuals applying for roles as Large Goods Vehicle (LGV) drivers.
The assessment provides employers with confidence that prospective drivers can safely operate an LGV, understand current transport legislation and demonstrate the high standards expected within the transport and logistics industry. It is ideal for organisations recruiting Category C or Category C+E drivers and forms an important part of a robust driver recruitment and risk management process.
Delivered by experienced LGV driving assessors, the assessment combines a practical on-road drive, vehicle safety inspection and professional knowledge assessment to provide a comprehensive overview of a candidate's competency.
What is included?

Professional practical driving assessment delivered by experienced LGV instructors and assessors
-
Comprehensive daily vehicle safety inspection including defect identification and vehicle roadworthiness checks
