Horse Box Driver Training is designed for individuals who need the skills and confidence to transport horses safely using a horse box or horse transport vehicle.

This course focuses on developing responsible driving techniques that protect both the animals being transported and the people around you on the road. Training covers vehicle control, awareness, reversing, safe loading considerations and road driving using the type of vehicle commonly used within the equestrian industry. It is ideal for private horse owners, equestrian professionals, riding schools, transport providers and anyone who requires specialist training to safely operate a horse box.

• Use of a suitable training vehicle that reflects the style and size of a horse transport vehicle

• Full support with arranging the relevant DVSA test appointments where required

• Guidance through the theory process and support with preparation

• Practical coaching in safe manoeuvring, reversing, vehicle checks and understanding load stability

• Ongoing advice and assistance throughout your training

• Optional post test session to build confidence or practice trailer and box manoeuvres
