What is Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF) Training?
The Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF) is a nationally recognised qualification designed to equip individuals with the essential skills and knowledge to respond effectively to a range of workplace first aid emergencies. This one-day course meets the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) requirements for emergency first aiders and is ideal for those working in low-risk environments or where a designated first aider is required by law.
What's Included?
- Understanding the role and responsibilities of a first aider
- Assessing an incident and managing an unresponsive casualty
- CPR and use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
- Managing choking, wounds, bleeding, and shock
- Dealing with minor injuries such as cuts, grazes, and burns
- Certification valid for 3 years upon successful completion
- Practical assessments and a multiple-choice exam
- Course handbook and training materials
Entry Requirements
- Learners must be 14 years or older at the time of assessment
- No prior qualifications are required
- Participants should be physically capable of performing first aid tasks, including CPR on the floor
- A basic understanding of English is recommended to follow instructions and complete assessments
