What is an Lean Manufacturing Operative?

Lean Manufacturing Operatives support organisations to improve efficiency, quality, and productivity by applying lean principles within manufacturing and production environments. The role focuses on reducing waste, improving workflow, standardising processes, and supporting continuous improvement activities. Operatives work as part of a team to help create safer, more efficient, and cost-effective operations while maintaining high quality standards.

Entry requirements

Employed in a manufacturing, production, or operational role. No prior qualifications are required. GCSEs in English and Maths at grade 4/C or above, or a willingness to achieve these during the apprenticeship.
