What is an Supply Chain Practitioner?

Supply Chain Practitioners support the planning, coordination, and control of goods and services across the supply chain. The role focuses on demand planning, procurement support, inventory management, logistics coordination, and supplier communication. Practitioners use data, digital systems, and problem-solving skills to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure products are delivered on time while meeting quality and compliance requirements.

Entry requirements

Employed in a supply chain, logistics, procurement, or operations role. Typically expected to have some experience within a warehouse, transport, or business environment. GCSEs in English and Maths at grade 4/C or above, or a willingness to achieve these during the apprenticeship.
